Set within a protected National Landscape in the heart of Niton on the Isle of Wight, the brief was to create five individually designed houses. The development needed to combine thoughtful architecture with quality craftsmanship and exceptional energy performance. The primary challenge was to ensure the structural envelope could support stringent sustainability targets and integrate advanced renewable technologies while remaining highly sympathetic to the beautiful local environment.

Timber Frame Design, Structural Timber Manufacture, Energy Assessment Services, Technical Support
Marking our second successful collaboration with Foreland Homes, our team was involved from the very early stages of the project. We provided full timber frame design and precision manufacture for all five properties. Alongside the structural work, our in-house energy assessors provided crucial services to help the homes achieve outstanding SAP and EPC A ratings.
We specified the use of low embodied carbon materials throughout the build and offered ongoing technical support to the site teams. Our structural design flawlessly accommodated the required integrated renewable technologies, including photovoltaic panels, 5.2kW batteries, air source heat pumps and EV charging points.
The completed development in Niton is a testament to sustainable, future-proof housing. By combining our advanced timber engineering with expertly guided energy performance strategies, each home delivers outstanding environmental and financial benefits for the end user.
It has been fantastic to support Foreland Homes once again. They are a developer that truly cares about sustainability, liveability and the long-term quality of their work. We look forward to seeing these exceptional homes enjoyed for generations to come.
