Our site operations managers are SMSTS and STA Installer qualified, giving clients confidence that each project is managed safely and professionally from start to finish. They oversee the installation process, coordinate key stages on site and complete required sign-offs as the build progresses. Our experienced assembly teams are trained to STA best practice standards, with relevant qualifications such as NVQs, CSCS accreditation and system-specific training. Where required, erectors are also assessed through STA-aligned competency schemes to support safe, consistent and high-quality installation.
Safety is our highest priority. We operate in full alignment with the Structural Timber Association (STA) Site Safe principles, ensuring risks associated with timber frame erection are carefully managed and controlled. Our off-site manufacturing approach further enhances safety by reducing on-site handling, limiting work at height, and improving site logistics and traffic management. As an SSIP-accredited contractor, our health and safety systems have been independently assessed against nationally recognised standards, giving clients confidence that we meet strict regulatory requirements and follow industry best practice on every project.
Our support does not stop once materials arrive on site. Our site operations managers provide practical guidance throughout the assembly phase, working closely with your site team to ensure the frame is installed safely, correctly and in line with the agreed programme.
Erection times depend on the size and complexity of the project, but a typical residential timber frame can be installed and made watertight within just a few days. This speed is achieved through precision off-site manufacturing, allowing for efficient and predictable on-site assembly.
We do not supply scaffolding directly, but we work closely with your main contractor or scaffolding provider. We issue detailed drawings and loading information to ensure the scaffold is correctly designed and in place prior to our arrival on site.
Timber frame construction can often progress in conditions that may slow down more traditional building methods, as the components are manufactured off site and arrive ready for assembly. However, safety always comes first. We carefully assess site conditions, particularly for lifting operations, and work will only proceed when it is safe to do so.
